Hi All,

I've got a 2011 Stelvio that I bought at the end of last year. I've done a couple short rides on it, but managed to do a solid 100 kms with it yesterday. I love the bike, but the vibration coming from the engine is very problematic. Aside from tingling hands after only 30 mins of highway, my back isn't in great shape and is having a hard time dealing with it. Also, the mirrors are almost useless at highway speeds.

The bike has NOT been rollerized yet - it's only got 7000 kms and it doesn't seem to have any strange noises coming from the engine. I've also been led to believe that vibration is not a symptom of bad rollers.

I did a FB post and it was suggested that I check the engine mount torque - does anyone have the specs? I've also read that the GTM tune can smooth things out? Maybe a throttle body sync? Any other ideas or things to check? If I can't improve the vibration, I will have to move on from it. This also makes me hesitant to invest loads of money into it but on the other hand, I'd rather not lose as I paid a premium to have a nice low mileage bike.

Thanks

GTM tune helps. Mostly I would have the TB's sync'd. Engine mount specs for front, back & heads is in service manual. Available in resources.
There are better mirrors w/o turn signals. Get Aprillia Tuono mirrors and Euro turn signal kit.

Congrats and welcome to the GT Forum. Hope you'll add your info to the Registry; https://www.guzzitech.com/forums/threads/stelvio-registry-pics-thread-add-your-bike.11540/

A nine year old Guzzi with solid lifters could have a myriad of issues. As Steve above states, a solid mechanical service by someone knowledgeable is paramount. Also, the stock muffler is a cause of vibration as well, as is mileage. The more it has, the smoother they get. From there, yes, an ECU flash will be icing on the proverbial cake.

Mirror/turn kit here; https://gtmotocycles.com/products/oem-stelvio-ntx-mirror-turns-kit

I'm pretty sure those here don't much care about the random (and mostly ignorant) opinions of others on social media channels. I'd appreciate less posts of people stating where else they've attempted to gather information. :smirk:

Hi Welcome...I have a 2008 and just had my cams done at 19,000 miles..was no vibration before I had them done!! Just a tapping/ slight knocking from left cylinder.
Mine still rode smooth, no vibration..and nothing from Handel bars or mirrors even now. Check your tyres are seated correctly, as not the first time I've bought a bike and a tyres been mounted wrong...worth a look.

Thank you all for the input. I already have the euro mirror kit - came with the bike.

I'll work through the other suggestions and update this thread.
