I have a faulty relay as will not start. Swapped the relays over in the fuse box and she cranked over. Switched back no crank sow was wondering if the relays are a off the shelf item or you have to buy from main dealer. Looks like a standard mini relay Thanks. Any info on alternatives welcome 12v 20A omron

If you have a late Stelvio AP8224462 is 30A & 3 of them, 895481 is injection relay 40W 2 of them, then there's GU29732550 is a 5 pin & 2 of them. What if the generic ones don't fit in the space, I just swap OEM then they fit & work.

No need to buy from your dealer. Just go to your local Pep Boys or similar. I replaced mine with all 5 pin relays in case I wish to swap them again.

Wow! Your “Pep Boys” is way different from our local auto parts store counter workers.

If you cannot give them a YEAR-MAKE-MODEL answer that they can FIND on their stupid computer screen, they are literally HOPELESS! :swear:

None of them can actually think for themselves nor do they have the foggiest idea how the parts and components work or function in the first place. ESPECIALLY electrical components like relays.

I think most places are like this nowadays. :tmi:

For what they get paid you can't expect them to have no book learnin'.

Pep Boys might have been a bad example, and we don't even have that franchise in New Zealand.

But if you take your existing relays to an auto electrical supply, surely you can match them up with something they are offering.

I've only swapped out relays once, on a V11 Le Mans. There was a lot of hype about the quality of the relays, so I replaced mine before I got stranded. Possibly no need to.
