Hi Everyone, I just had my 2014 5000 mile California 1400 Custom (Silver) delivered (during lockdown here that's the way things are).

Anyway it's wonderful, visceral and gorgeous... loving it right now.

A silly question is I don't think I received the original factory toolkit with the bike. Now I know it's literally just 2 x allen keys, 1 x screwdriver and a C-Spanner so I'm not that bothered, but i might actually have it depending where on the bike it normally lives.

It's not under the seat so I guess it's missing but I just wondered if it was located somewhere else ? Excuse this because it's a stupid question. At least I got to introduce myself. Live in the UK.

Wow, that was a fast response. I'll take another look when I get home. Thank you. I'll post a picture now, and a better one later ;-)

Mine had worked it's way down on the right side. PITA that neither side panel can be removed without tools...

Thanks James. I'll whip the side panel off this weekend. It's not that I actually need the toolkit (I restore classic cars for a hobby so my garage is a shrine to the world of tools) but I an a stickler for originality, so it would be nice to locate it if it's there.

I did remove the left side panel because I had to route an OptiMate cable and whilst doing so I found two self-tapping screws that the previous owner, or workshop, had dropped while replacing the battery cover. I hate shoddy work like this. It's utterly trivial but ...

Yeah, as a toolkit it's practically useless. I keep insurance/reg in a waterproof bag in it... ;-)
