LED bulbs for Eldorado turn signals

Has anyone replaced the stock RY10W/5009 incandescent bulbs in the Eldorado turn signals with LED bulbs?

Would it require a load resistor or different flasher module to prevent hyper-flashing?

This bulb doesn't have a built in load resistor, the specs say "certain vehicles" may require a load resistor.

Those look similar to the “Inertia LED” that I replaced mine with (California 1400). Supposedly they are CAN-bus compatible...no additional resistors required. They are a direct replacement for RY10W.

And yes, they are significantly brighter than stock. You’ve got to be dead, stone blind, or texting not to see them.

Good to hear they are significantly brighter, That's what I'm after.

The tail light and turn indicator bulbs on the Eldorado 1400 are all incandescent.

I already replaced the tail light bulb with a 900 lumen LED and it's noticeably brighter.

I just had a signal bulb burn out today on my Cali. Can these replacements be found at the local auto parts store and how much more are the LED type mentioned above?

You have a Cali 1400 right? The turn signals are already LED for the rear.

If you fit the LED bulb for the front indicators, you will may need a resistor in parallel with the bulb. I wouldn't bother since they seldom blow.

I do. I just picked it up from GP in San Diego after having the front tire replaced and the bulb didn’t work.

See my revised post. Possibly they disturbed the wiring when fitting the tire. Or try swapping the front bulbs over to see whether the fault moves or not.

The Inertias are STUPID expensive. But worth it in my opinion - visibility. And they look good and are plug and play.

I just did the swap. It’s the bulb. Amazon Prime and I’ll be good as new in two days.

Concur on the Inertia LEDs. They are the only ones that fit perfectly and they are bright bright bright. Put them on my Norge no load resistors required and will install them on my V7 III when it arrives. The SBL and other LEDs are too long for many MG turn signal housings.

haha wow I don't know what happened to 'inertia leds' but don't go to their website if you're at work!

Does this site allow a link to these items or is it something Todd could stock/supply.
Problem with UK is anything I order from US I get reamed in import tax:mad:

I just request no hyperlinks,.. leave off http://www and all should be good. Outside of the headlight bulbs I sell here that I have well tested, It’s not worth competing with Amazon to sell lower priced items.

tobinh -- oops I should have clarified I purchased the Inertia's from Amazon. I checked the Inertia website a few months ago but it had disappeared so I never checked again. Hopefully you didn't sustain any damage.

no worries :)

does anyone have a link for these though? I'd like to try them, but I can't find them on Amazon either.

Search Amazon for "ry10w led amber" Manufacturer p/n IL-0002-A ASIN B018UWBPK8 Open your wallet wide.
