As the bike is now four years old it was due its first transport inspection, (thereafter every two years).
It FAILED, due to high C02 emissions :mad: I have the GT fueling package installed, ECU remap, modified air box, BMC air filter and V-Performance mufflers (homologated).
I promptly returned home and swapped out the mufflers for the originals, (thankfully I still had them). My thinking was as they are far more restrictive ie with the catalyst converter, that would do the trick. Not so, FAILED again :mad: .
I contacted the dealer, who have been excellent in terms of support, in order to obtain the correct emissions figures from Piaggio, Spain, to make sure their limits were on par with those of the test station.
I also sent Todd the map pulled from the PCV. Almost immediately I received a revised map and a 0 emissions map.
On his advice I installed the 0 emissions map and disabled the AutoTune.
Once more to the test station :sweating: .
:party::party: Passed with flying colours.
Would it have passed with the V-Performance mufflers and revised map? I can’t say as I only fitted the original mufflers in order to lessen the trips to the test centre.
Once the bike has cooled down I’m off to swap over the mufflers and load the revised map. Happy days.
Please note, the legislation here is very strict, so this is in no way a criticism of the fueling package, as the bike is better for it.
To cut to the chase, if you buy a product from Todd, and require support, it’s there :clap: .

That was very predictable. :D
