Ever had a problem holding the funnel whilst trying to pour oil into your sump? I, quite serendipitously, came across this funnel in and Auto1 store yesterday. My fellow antipodean inhabitants would know of Auto1, but the rest of you could try Googling the part#. It's a self-supporting funnel which slips nicely into the sump filler spout and maintains a more-than suitable angle leaving you with 2 hands free to pour the slippery stuff.

Found similar, but quite expensive, on eBay:

or Amazon:

Funnel 1 lores

Funnel 2 lores

this is basically what I have used for 50+ years now. this one is way to cheap and you need to make sure the end is small enough to fit in all holes. but do get a flexible metal one.

A funnel like hat is more rare than rocking horse poo over here. I've seen others which are ostensibly the same, but they're too short.

I've been using one of those for years. Can easily be secured in place with bungee cords to have both hands free.
