Dealer has $4000 off on a 2017 V9 Bobber and I couldn’t find better deal online.
What is the main difference of model year 2020 comparing to model year 2017? Any engine / body/ suspension differences or they are pretty much identical.

I picked up my 2017 V9 Bobber last year from Cadre Cycle in Cincinnati for $6000 out the door. The 2020 Bobber Sport has upgraded suspension and a few other differences like seat and handlebar position. Not sure with out looking but they are not the same. I do believe that the engine and drive train are the same.

Thank you for sharing your experience with 2017 V9 Bobber. Yours look very nice. The one this dealer has is full Matt black with yellow checkers decal on tank and front fender. It really looks nice but it is west coast and way far. They offer shipping for another $650. So I guess you can say for me bike is really $6650. I don’t want to take risk and buy it online, not seeing what I’m getting. Plus it may get damaged during shipment as well. Have to wait and see if local dealers will bring some of these beauties in. All my local Moto Guzzi dealer has to offer are V7 for now.

I felt the same way as you. Then I found a new 2018 holdover on a web search. I started a bit of a back and forth with the dealer and ended up with such a deal, I couldn't pass it up. I bought it sight unseen. In fact, I had never seen any V7 before, so it was an even bigger leap of faith!
Bike arrived in the back of a Mercedes van, looked stunning, and I was the proud owner of a fantastic bike!
I think as long as you are dealing with a reputable dealer, having a bike shipped is a non-issue. I spoke with a rep at another dealership who told me they sell more bikes online, and ship them, then they do at the dealership.

Lol! Your story of online purchasing is so tempting. I may pull the trigger and do the same. Did they send you walk around video of the bike including VIN number and every details. I’m wondering if website shows picture of a bike and you end up getting another one!

And how far was the dealer from your state? In my case dealer is in California and I am in Texas. If they send the bike in back of a Van then I will be less concerned.

I'm sure they would have done all of that, had I asked. They had one Milano in a crate, hadn't been on the floor yet. Dealer is in neighboring state, but I wouldn't have been worried if they weren't, unless I had no reasonable access to MG service.
I gave them a deposit on a credit card, then gave the delivery driver the balance when I took delivery. After I checked it over, of course. The dealer would have no reason that I can think of to try to pull a fast one. I'm sure they want my business going forward, and that of anyone with whom I shared my positive experience.
I almost pulled the trigger on one in Florida, but preferred the Milano...and the RIDICULOUS(imo) deal I got!

I bought my 2019 Bobber Sport sight unseen. Never had a chance to see any V9 in person. Like you a deal I could not resist. Just went on a nice 300 mile ride yesterday and am really impressed with the handling and power of this bike. I really have to wonder why these are not flying off the dealers floor??? I think the Bobber Sport will be the "hydro Cali" of the V9's. Mine was shipped from San Diego to Idaho! Only problem was the dealer misplaced the spare key. With a bit of work I got the original cloned at a local locksmith. Get the bike. You won't be disappointed. ;)
