The general alarm light (right side bottom triangle) on my recently purchased Roamer is blinking intermittently. It blinks when I walk around the bike without the key on but this is running down the road it just blinks several times and goes off.

I have checked the owners manual and cannot find any info pertaining to this.

Any input is greatly appreciated.

Porter, I looked it up in the owners manual. That is the ABS warning light. If like other brands, the abs will flash when you start up and then possibly slow down. Once it slows down, then you can start rolling. After you have ridden a certain distance it will go off. This is normal operation. If the light goes on constantly then you have a problem.

John, reference maintenance book, it is #7 on pg 61, general alarm light. Pg 64 describes it as a oil pressure sensor or oil pressure problem. It started blinking intermittently yesterday on a ride, probably 4-5 times on a 70 mile ride. Oil level is good.

According to the owner's manual from the download section on this site, page 74, after key in and turn to ON, the general alarm warning light should be on for 3 seconds and then turn off. If this is the case, then there is no issue.

Page 26, if oil pressure or oil sensor issue, the general alarm warning light comes on steady, with the display showing ALARM OIL PRESSURE or ALARM OIL SENSOR.

Page 34, this light is also a gear-shift light, meaning that if the engine RPM exceeded the preset threshold (4,500 rpm default), the light will flash. I believe that this is what you are seeing.
