I am having timing and ignition probs with my G5. I've changed the point plate from digital back to dual points. Also replaced the distributor weight springs.
Adjusted and set static timing for both point sets.
Set valve gaps.
Checked carb adjustments.
Back fires and doesn't appear to be advancing correctly. Doesn't advance on either cylinder much at all.
I am wondering if I've managed to install the weights incorrectly.
Anyone have a picture of the proper orientation of properly installed weights for a dual point distributor?
