Hello! So in spite of the lockdown I have now managed my 1500 km run in over the last month and am looking forward to increasing the revs a bit. Sorry if what I am about to ask is a daft question. I have both the service manual and the owners manual. Both refer to 'Oil Filter Change' as a 'C' at the first service and then 60,000 km. This is in addition to 'Engine Oil Filter' as a 'R' at every service. So even I understand 'Replace the engine oil filtet' but what is 'Oil filter Change' as a 'Clean'? Neither manual explains this line but both insist on it. I am thinking mesh filter, is this what it means and so does the sump have to be dropped? Ta for looking.

might be referring to the screen in the transmission. it needs to be pulled out the first time and every time to get all of the transmishion oil drained rapidly. this year has an oil pump in it and 1/2 the oil of past units.
you will need a new crush washer for the screw on the oil filter. the factory seemed to think they needed 150-foot pounds or they took the name crush literally!

Yes, all the wear in bits of metal floating around in there from the break in period... need to come out !
AND Vagrant was kidding about the 150lbs on that filter !!!

I was a bit paranoid about striping the drain plugs when I did my 10k service, after reading all the doom and gloom stories, so I picked up a short open end wrench to try and limit the torque I could apply when buttoning her back up.
She survived ;)

Well I am now convinced that Vagrant is absolutely correct and the line 'Oil Filter Change' as a 'Clean' action shoukd just read 'Clean Transmission Mesh Filter'. Thanks for your help guys.
