Preformed 6K valve adjustment and set lash to 15mm intake, 20mm exhaust, very noisey, erradic idle, reset at 13mm intake and 18mm exhaust, still some noise (normal ?) better idle.

As Paul said - I hope there was just a decimal point missing, and the valves were set at 0.15mm and 0.20mm...

A video of the noise would help.

Did you properly rotate the crankshaft until the piston on the first side you set was at TDC on the compression stroke?

I hope you verified this TDC by all three methods?

1. Extra-long "Slurpee" type plastic straw (I get mine at the Circle-K with my icee) through the spark plug hole to feel top of piston.

2. Timing marks on flywheel.

3. Both intake and exhaust rockers were loose and could be moved up and down by hand before you started adjusting.

What was the measurement before you adjusted it? After?

Then, after finishing the first side, you again rotated the crankshaft until the opposite piston reached TDC on the compression stroke, correct? Then you repeated the verifications and then made the adjustments, correct?

From what you are describing, including the running condition afterwards, I am seriously concerned about your technique.

FYI: All Moto Guzzi motorcycles, will have rocker arm ticking sounds if set properly. It shouldn’t be excessively noisy but it should not be quiet either.
