My dealer says "no"....plug and play. I ordered a set but want to be sure it's not needed. Can't seem to find an answer with a quick search.......

I fitted Oxford OF691 Premium Touring heated grips on my V85TT before the factory versions became available. No issues, and probably a lot cheaper than the ones from the factory.

Thank-you for your input KW, but I wanted to keep it all OEM so I ordered the factory stuff. I used Oxford grips on my V-Strom and loved them.

I love the factory heated grips on mine, had them installed from new by my dealership. Best accessory I have ever specked for a bike IMO :)

I just tried to do the same on my 2022 V85tt. The Oxfords don't fit- the throttle pipe is larger than their right grip allows by about 1mm. Since the Oxford uses a hard plastic sleeve, I can't stretch it to get it over the v85 throttle pipe. How did you get this to work?

If they were anything like the Koso Apollo grips I fitted to my Eldorado it was a lot of coarse filing
and sanding to get them anywhere near a snug fit on the throttle tube :( . They work great and the
controller on the left hand grip is genius ! Peter

Moto Guzzi factory heated grips have always been excellent quality parts, very much like BMW’s.

I know some people like aftermarket ones, but I prefer the fit, finish, and absolute perfect plug and play connectivity of the factory grips.

The 15 year old set on my Norge, still can get so hot on high, you will find it uncomfortably hot if they are switched on during a day that isn’t really cold!

Update 5/4/22 9pm: I managed to get the Oxford grips on after chamfering the end of the throttle tube and lubing it with WD-40. Still had to use a lot of force. I was worried it would get stuck half way but I muscled it on. They work fine now using the left grip button.

I think the factory grips on my V85TT get hotter on high than the factory grips on my BMW R1150RS (both 2002 and 2004). The factory grips on the V85TT also have 3 heat levels controlled by the switch on the left handlebar.

Use emery cloth to reduce the right hand grip diameter, so the internal and external diameters are identical.
I read the Oxford instructions and it specifically says that the grip will expand to fit over the throttle, which is surprisingly since the interior of the grip looks like hard plastic. I forced it on with considerable effort.
