Location
Yorkshire, England.
We registered for this event in July 2020 and have now firmed up our travel plans by booking accommodation in France and Italy. Hopefully, the event will still go ahead but because of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic we have booked our accommodation on a ‘free cancellation’ basis through booking . com.

For the events in Genoa, we have booked 4 nights (Thursday 13th to Sunday 16th May) at the Mercure Genova San Biagio, Via Romairone, 14, Genoa.

All the locations where the events are being held are 10 miles away from the Mercure Genova San Biagio: Porto Antico, Piazza de Ferrari, Via Roma, Corso Andrea Podesta, Tursi Palace, Palazzo Ducale, Fiera del Mare, Piazzale Kennedy and the Carlo Felice Theatre.

We could not find suitable accommodation in Genoa city that met our criteria of safe onsite garage parking for our motorcycles and decent guest facilities. The Mercure Genova San Biagio ticks all the boxes and is in a nice location.

To register for this event costs 22.50 Euro per person. Attached PDF has links for the hotel and event registration. The PDF also contains the provisional event program.

We received an email yesterday from the organisers confirming that the event in Genoa 14th to 16th May is still going ahead, albeit with Covid 19 restrictions. Unfortunately restrictions on international travel for pleasure from England won't be lifted until the 17th May at the earliest.

We've cancelled our trip but at least we can follow the event on the internet.

Condoglianze dalla cima della Virginia.

Your good attitude is almost annoying; I'd be in a sulking funk for weeks.

It would be an understatement to say we are bitterly disappointed. After a lacklustre and restricted 2020 we really wanted to make the most of Moto Guzzi's centenary year.

We have the 100th Anniversary event in Mandello 10th to 12th September to look forward to, and that will be extra special!!

I know Vitry Le François, my brother and my sister live in Chalons en Champagne at 30 kms. If you need a nice road book with small roads in Champagne, and nice landscape I can help you . I was born in Reims . For example, from Paris to Vitry, you can use a very nice road, and not the highway .

Vizir, thanks for the contact. If our government change their plans about lifting international travel restrictions and we're able to go, I'll certainly come back to you.
