Hi all, I am curious as to where I can buy alternator parts, specifically brush holder w/plate. There are no alternator parts available from Bosch, just curious if anyone else has rebuilt their alternator? 159814493 2815609698700909 7258103302099666312 n

You could try an automotive electrical repair shop. They might have a substitute for the part and could probably rebuild your alternator.

Google 230-24117 -- shown below, can be found online for $35. It might work for you.

VR 230 24117

The part below is listed as for a Breva/Griso 1100. Google: 126000-1160

I have two of the latter, never used. Long painful story. Will require a bottle of "better bourbon" to hear it. :giggle:

Automotive electricity is about as easy for me as translating classical Greek from original texts. Η ηλεκτρική ενέργεια αυτοκινήτων είναι ένα κακό μυστικό. :swear:

Happy to give one of those to OP gratis; might ask for cost of shipping if OCONUS. Did not see his 411 in profile.

Also have an "extra" alternator if OP's problem is more than it seems just now. Same story mentioned above.

Bill

[Edited to add that I might have an extra "former," too.]
