Moto Guzzi - Happy 100th Birthday!

15th March 2021, Moto Guzzi's 100th Birthday :party::party:......

We've created a 446 MB video tribute which is hosted on our non-commercial enthusiasts website: ukbuellgroup.co.uk

Just wandered around your website. Had not been there before. Quite fine. Thanks.

I spent most of today in a anniversary celebration of my own.

For years, I have wanted to have a concrete pad at the front. of my "Moto Grappa." I often made fun of visiting Guzzisti who fretted about the gravel approach.

But, if the truth must be known from time to time, I, too, screamed in my helmet on short final into the bay when the too-plush gravel made touchdown a bit squirrelly.

So, I eventually found a local contractor willing to a small job, tho it sure isn't $mall to me!

Anyway, he came today and got it all done. What a grand way to mark Moto Guzzi's 100th.

Here are a few pix of that process.

Naturally, this deserves christening.

Oh, FWIW, while it still appears as if there is plenty of gravel leading up to that concrete apron, the remainder is about one stone thick above hardpan.

Now, however, it’s time to get ready for grappa toasts.

I look forwarding to lifting glasses with many of you all over the planet soon.

Buon Anniversario!

Bill

Thanks, Bill. I'm no techno wizard but the website receives favourable reviews. Quirky American and quirky Italian motorcycles may seem an odd mix, but it works. We promote Guzzi Tech on the 'Moto Guzzi Parts & Service Resource page' (/438398169) and it also features Todd's GTM video.

You look to have had excellent weather for your concrete project. A good result!

A 'Covid-19 secure' 100th Birthday event was held at the Mandello factory on Sunday 14th.

Dear Moto Guzzi friends, I've made a Centenario logo in vector (high quality) format. I hope it will be useful to some of you.

Cheers

What, no pictures of your anniversary celebration :)

I have a gravel drive outside my shop, also. I don’t have any trouble navigating the loose surface, but it sure is nice to extend your parking and work areas with a concrete apron. Your setup looks particularly nice...
