Morning;

I just got a new phone mount (Qi) and want to draw it's power from the headlight so there is only power when the bike is turned on. I can see that in the headlight bowl there is a Black and a White wire going to the headlight, and a yellow and blue going tot he smaller light.

A different post stated that blue is ground and black is hot (positive), so can I just splice the connectors from the phone mount to the black and blue wires and be good to go? The mount does have it's own fuse.

Thanks

Isn't there already a switched connector in the loom by the headstock? Think it is a green connector going to nothing, just take a feed off that rather than cut into the wiring of the headlight???

I just looked all around the headstock, and nothing like that, that I can find. Would the Black and Blue wires in the headlight bowl work?

Does that mean that since those wires will be fused I do not need the inline fuse that the mount comes with?
I would honestly recommend using a battery charger pigtail along with this; amazon.com/Battery-Tender-081-0158-Disconnect-Smartphone/dp/B00DJ5KEF4/ -- and run your phone charger cord under the tank up to the bars. The battery tender lead is fused. If you don't have one, this is both; amazon.com/Battery-Tender-Terminal-Accessory-Charger/dp/B08CBQYXY5/

Thank, but I do not need a USB outlet, the phone mount has one if I ever have a use for it.

By switched do you mean it only supplies power when the bike is turned on?
Got this figured out.
The Connector is indeed right next to the battery, it uses an AMP Super Seal 2-way connector, the orange wire is power. And it turns on and off with the key so perfect for my use. :)

That is what I used as a trigger source for my FuzeBlock. I bought a kit of Super Seal connectors to use to make the connection. I plan to run electricity from behind the left side cover up under the tank to the steering head for power and a voltmeter.
