Will I make it?

Todd,
You were so close, I would have just put on a plate from one of your other fleet, then smeared grease over the VIN plate.... You were only going to get a speeding ticket anyway, and they dont check the vin for those.... W and I went by your place today, nice and hot, clean roads etc..... zero leo's Did you get Pete his stuff? If not, I have a package to ship to him in Oz and you're welcome to share space
Cheers,
Jon

Ok Todd, now that's a Norge I like! there's always been something that just didn't do it. Looks very good sir.

Thanks guys... I still have a few more hurdles to clear this week before I can legally ride it. Jon, trust me, the thought went through my head, but jumping on a bike and putting a few thousand miles on, after being nearly completely reassembled is a recipe for disaster from past experiences.

Looking good, worth the effort for sure. it will be intresting to see how the handling mods turn out.

That swapping plate thing is now a felony in Texas.
I have surprised a few folks with that info.
$35 for an expired sticker, I know one guy out lots of money for a swapped plate.
He got it pleaded(sp?) down.
How long till they tap that revenue stream in CA?

Bike looks great, CaTodd.
Too bad about Colorado.

No transferrable plates down there either eh?

It's what stops me owning more than a couple of bikes at a time. So, of course, my wife considers it a GOOD thing. Bah!

Todd H, Todd E had shmoozed his way out of dozens of felony tickets for exhibition of speed etc, a simple vin disconnect would be childs play for a veteran like todd, heck, if he had the missus with him, it was a done deal..... this sunday, me and brenda were riding down todds driveway, and pulled onto Mullholland highway, half a mile later a cop pulls us over.. Says he saw a motorcycle pass 4 cars and crossing the double yellow line. I hand him my license, insurance and inform him that me and the missus bein full sized folk ridin a ancient aircooled motoguzzi couldn't pass 4 cars if'n they was parked, he apologized for stoppin us and wished us a good day.... bein and old puke, with a sincere looking wife saves me a lot of coin I reckon we only passed two cars....

I reckon it's being a crusty old foreign fart with a polite wife that got me off the ticket in the 'Gaystang' just outside Santa Barbara.

Can't go past a Gay car and a missus with a good rack!

So Todd, just for the record, what was the reason again for not just jumping on another one of your many Guzzis & coming out to Colorado? Me & Dave only put on about 4400 miles round trip, an easy 275 miles per day over the 16 days we spent for a not remotely direct route.

Just askin'......

Jon's makes a valid point. ;)

Bob, I was determined to do it on the Norge, and when that went flat, so did my desire to bomb out in 24 hours or less to be there for Saturday only. I'm bummed I didn't make it, for sure.

Sorry Todd, couldn't help myself. Do rest assured that I took the opportunity when it came to give Frank Wedge some grief for not making it to Malibu last year.
