I ride my Roamer with just the solo seat so don't see any need for the rear pegs, and I had a look and they seem to be simply bolted on

However, when I tried to remove one they were MIGHTY tight so bottled out before I broke something

Are they just very tight/Loctited in place and I just need a bigger bar or are they mysteriously held in somehow?

Cheers

Tris

I took mine off to fit a centre stand lifting handle the screws are just very tight. Make sure your wrench is a good fit.

Took a look at mine to see if they could be lowered. Darn things are high for midgets, even with a custom-raised MG Comfort seat. They are too high for my wife.

One of her things is to burn the soles of her boots into the chrome of the mufflers on my Harleys. I would be happy to find a way to lower those pegs so she can do the same here. Without some kind of lowering, she will not ride with me

Wait... Is that a good or bad thing?

That's a good thing! I don't like riding with a passenger. Thankfully my wife is too afraid to ride with me. I made sure of that.;)

My wife just loves to ride motorcycle. Sure tried with classes and my instruction years ago. She flunked them all and crashed my bike I used to try. We own 9 motorcycles now, down from way more. Her favorite ride for near 70,000 miles now is a Harley FatBoy. She also likes riding one of my old BMW's but that is not practical for distances. She rides behind on my Moto Guzzi 500. Need I tell you that bike is too small for me to deal with over say 50 miles.

Was hoping the V9 Roamer would be light like my old Triumphs and BSA's. It is. Hoping it would be easy to ride and fun for her to ride along. NO. Suspension is way too harsh and even with a built-up Comfort seat, too cramped for her. She flat out near falls off the seat and hates the ride. Bummer to me as I did think it would be fun for her and lighter than the FatBoy for me to handle.

Now we are going to the Va. Moto Guzzi Rally on the 26th of June riding a Harley. i want her to have fun and she should. Just a bit sad it does not seem to be possible on a Moto Guzzi without going to a Harley clone model.
