V7 Registry & Picture thread -- ADD YOUR BIKE

Well I'm adding my V7 850 Special in blue to the list.
VIN ZGUKZUB01MM000197 purchased 8/6/21

I'm liking the bike and it seems to be breaking in nicely, only about 300 miles so far.

I'm definitely looking forward to some suspension upgrades and a remap to clean things up. I'm sure there will be some other things also, probably a center stand and tail rack, mostly likely heated grips also. I want to see about a seat with less cutdown in the front.

First-time Guzzi owner - I just acquired a 2018 V7 III Carbon Dark:
VIN ZGULDUC03JM000022 purchased 8/14/2021
Congrats, thanks for posting, and welcome to the GT Forum & Guzzi Famiglia! Sure you'll enjoy it... and hope to see you posting often. Click on the STORE tab above too if you're looking for any mods.

Very nice !
Is that windscreen stock ?
New / Used how many miles ?

I think the flyscreen is a Dart Piranha. Looks like it anyway, but I really don't know. I bought the bike used with 4278 miles at Aces Motorcycles in Ft. Collins CO.

Edit - Dart Marlin!

So I’m out for an evening ride, standing up on the pegs getting some extra air flow, it’s over 90 here !
A older guy on a wide glide goes by on my left ... we’re going the same way, first light i hang back, next light he picks a lane I pull up along side , we nod.

Next light same thing, third light he’s looking over and says “ Electric ?”
I pop the rev’s , he looks a bit startled and embarrassed “Oh ! That’s the cylinder ! “
“ It’s that way” he makes a transverse V motion with his hands...

Not that many in town I say,
“ Never seen one before” he responds
I tell him they took a couple to Sturgis and everyone was asking how they switched the engine around like that, he laughs...

Yes it does! I like it, it’s easy to see even in bright sunlight. Two complaints, the gear indicator often lags behind shifts, and they missed an opportunity to use the “eagle” as a digital gas gauge.

Yes, the gear doesn’t update until you let out the clutch so it can calculate the gear based on speed and RPM.

I trust the trip meter and your average fuel consumption numbers - Mpg / L/100km more that I would trust a gauge, they always lie about the second half tank...
