New Bike Check Engine Light (MI)???

Returning home from a 60 mile ride I had to sit at a very long traffic light. The idle started to feel a little lumpy, then as the light turned green I noticed the MI light glowing amber. I rode a couple of gentle miles to home. The engine felt fine and seemed to idle normally. A half hour later I restarted the engine and all seemed normal but that pesky light remains on.

I'm not unduly concerned as I'm at 800+ miles so I'll be at the dealer for the first service in just 3 or 4 days. I'll be interested to find out what's going on.

You might get a response to your post if identified the year and model of the bike with the light problem.

Assuming it's the 2017 V7III?
They seem to destroy the O2 sensors. I just shut mine off when they both failed. That was the CEL.
Several 17's have had stator failures. Odds are the charging light won't glow. You only know when you have a volt meter on it. In my case the center light for the Oxford grips would start flashing, meaning not enough voltage while running 4-5000 RPM.

I talked to my dealer and got the A response, "bring it in and I'll take a look-see" No BS about needing an appointment. No crap like, "the Guzzi tech won't be in till Thursday". I'm liking this.

The service guys jumped right on it. It threw a code for an O2 sensor. The tech said he suspected the heat from a long idle on a warm day. Code cleared and they'll look closer on the first service.

This is a big reason I chose to buy at a local, proven Guzzi shop.
