I need to get one of my head covers powder coated on my G11 and have found a place locally which is really cheap, so cheap im thinking i might get both of them repainted but in a different color. I was wondering if anyone has done this already, and if so what did the results look like? Im thinking that gloss black might look good?? (even though my bike is yellow)

What do people think?

Mmmm. Need to see that before I could pass judgement. I think black is the only colour that would look acceptable.

If you are powdercoating don't go gloss black, it marks and scratches way to easy.
Satin black is much better.
I think that apart from silver, black is your only option. Yellow would look ok as well if you can get a good match.

How cheap is cheap? I may look into getting this done.

By the way, black is the only way to go. I prefer matte myself.

I might go for matt black as you guys suggested. Its only £5 to strip and then re-coat each cover. There is always the anodising option, but im guessing thats expensive.

Thanks for the photos I really like them in black.

I thought id see how good a job my local shop does on coating the stone chipped cover silver first before i jump in and get them both resprayed black. Im going to pick the cover up tomorrow, if its a decent job i will ask him to do it again... but this time in black x2 !! Going to aim for a finish similar to the finish on the plastic plug cover.

Anyone know where I can get some nice anodised head cover blots?

in the mean time I randomly stumbled accross these photos of someone who has gone matt black already:
