I am going to get an all new STELVIO model 09 with following chassis code:

ZGULZA00X9M1114xx

Does somebody know, what is all about the A in the code line?

As far as I remember, there are only 3 required out of the series of letters and numbers. First digit is Country code, you have a check digit for model year and the last are assembly line designator. The others are internal and used to make up a required standard VIN code. Dealer or Factory rep should be able to tell you the "A" in that location is a heads up that copious Amounts of Alcohol were consumed on the day your bike was built or "A" is for Stelvio, "B" is for Griso, etc. You may be able to Google standardized VIN and have an example of each character's identifier.

Hi Loftyjohn

Yes, it is an ABS version in red.

Can't still figure out the A :S

If you look in the Stelvio workshop manual PDF, you will see a breakdown of the VIN, and what the various digits mean, though it doesn't say what individual letters stand for.
The stelvio manual doesn't seem to be available in the downloads area, but is available here.

Scroll down the Characteristics section.

That A plus the following two digits refer to the version variation.
