The exhaust pipes on my Griso are just starting to pit/mark/whatever. What, if anything, are you guys doing to keep your pipes bright and new looking?

Joe

Mine had some spotting issues once and I was able to polish them out with mother's metal polish. the color was brighter in those areas at first, but after heating up everything was the same again. I quickly figured out the the spray cleaner I was using for the bike was getting on the pipes and that residue was causing the spoting/pitting. Now after I use the spray I clean the residue off before the pipes heat up again and I really haven't had any issues.

I had mine ceramic coated by Performance Coatings in Auburn, WA - but I don't like shiny bits on my
GRiSO.

Did you notice any performance difference or reduced heat near your footpeg? I live in Phoenix, AZ, and Jet Hot 2000 ceramic coated the pipes on my ZX14 to reduce the heat on the radiator and it helped, but was wondering if it made any difference on your Griso? Looks like you ceramic coated the heat guard also?
