Aka "How I spent my Christmas Break"

I picked up a set of "Pelican Cases" (merry X-mas from wife),
Removed the brackets from the stock fabric cases that leak.

Tested in the kitchen sink...no leaks. These cases are designed to float but my drilling for fitting the mounts needed testing.

Fotos below indicate final project, ready to roll out when "Global Warming" (or spring) arrives.

which model pelicans did you choose? did you consider the pelican cases that open at the top?

The Pelican Model #1450 as 'proof of concept'. And available locally.

This was chosen (Designed) to match the MG bags but "square" to accept a 8.5"x11" note book that would not fit in the shaped fabric bags. Currently all my travels locally are met with a courier type over the shoulder bag

I have no need for other styles at this time. Pelican has numerous styles AND COLORS on their website. If however I decide to travel to the "lower forty-eight" or other uses I can purchase them and transfer the stock mounts to them easily. 3-small holes and a larger one for the lockset.

My "Vetter 24 liter" tank bag fits nicely over the panniers and properly bungeed will permit removal of individual components.
I have "dry-fit" a "747" travel bag that could be secured across the panniers supported by the MG luggage rack.

Thanks... form and function..............However the concept needs the 'proof of the road' to maintain watertightness. :side:

You could always fill them with water, put them on the spin dryer and turn it on for an hour :D That should simulate the vibration of them being on a Guzzi for at least...ooh...a minute!

My last point has been proven...one side of my H&Bs has rattled loose... one bolt missing, other 2 at the end of the threads!

They look really good Jim.

Do they interfear with taking a pillion passanger?

No passengers allowed...But if one were so bold she could hold on to the pannier handles...
If they would be accessible

That might get me inna heap of trouble  glad the wife is at work.

Looks cloudy this weekend time to do a hydraulic testing.
