He has an bunch of Fender Extenders for BMW's and afew odd balls.
After owning a Caponord I knew that one wouldn't work, so I then tried all the BMW ones they had in stock.
I ended up with one for a F650GS 2008/09 model. It is actually a tad wider than the Stelvio fender, I took about 3/8" off of each side of the Stelvio fender, approx 3" from the bottom, then filed the edge so it was very thin. This help the Stelvio fender match the curvature of the Fender Extender. Installed the 4 screws and no more mud on the front of the engine and after 4 days of rain and living on a dirt / gravel road.....I am a happy camper.
Now I need to work on the rear end of the bike to keep the mud off the travel trunk & the wife

Thanks for the above! And yes, photographs would be nice if you have a chance. As for the problem in the rear - I have the same! My passenger has a very dirty and wet backside after a wetter ride, we've come to call her the Splashguard. However I'd like to change that situation... I bought the Skidmarx Griso/Norge/Sport hugger, (link on that thread), and am installing it today. I'll let you know how that works, but I have a feeling it won't contain the slipstream and spray as well as a better rear fender would. If you come up with a better solution please, please let us know about it!!
Best, Jesse

Is that an extender for an F650? Did it come with appropriate hardware, as in, screws with spacers and/or soft washers to not crack the fender?
Not sure I'm up to griding on the Stelvio fender yet.

I got also that Extender from Pyramid and the coming weeks i will mount it on my Stelvio.
But i have a question for Kurt.
You wrote that you did remove the tape wich is on the Extender and you replaced it with black RTV.
But as i am Dutch, i don't understand the letters RTV.
Could you explain what you mean by RTV ?
Thanks.........Louis
