I didn't want to hijack AkGriso's thread below...so here's another one.

I'd like to install the factory panniers on my Griso 1100 for the occasional long trip. However, I have an Agostini pipe on the bike which I believe will interfere with the bags (similar to the Termi pipe). Can anyone confirm or deny this?

If it will interfere, does anyone know if the problem can be easily fixed with a spacer or something? Would someone mind posting some good pictures of the pannier bracket mounting arrangement so I can think about a work around? I'd hate to order the bags, then have them not fit and not be easily modified to fit.

Thanks!!

I can't speak to the Agostini, but my G11 has the Termi pipe on it and I was told the Guzzi pannier will not fit. I believe the Agostini pipe is about the same profile as the Termi so you may have issues. My option was to get the Cortech Sport Saddlebags and they work well for the occasional use. They are much cheaper and the quality as good (enough)...

Thanks...those don't look too bad. I believe the Agonstini and Termi pipes are very similar dimensionally.

I have asked this from Agostini and this is what they said "the Agostini Mandello Silencers are designed to fit with the original attacks of the bike. So you won't have any problem in using the original Griso panniers."

I'll take a couple of pics in the next couple of days and post 'em up if I get a chance. Bags won't fit with the Termi, I know that. I have a set of Tekno bags that have a lower profile that fit my racks though so that isn't a problem.

I was going to get a pair of the factory bags when I purchased my bike through MotoInternational in Seattle. I eventually decided to put off purchasing the bags for whatever reason, but the sales guy I was speaking to, Dave, said they did an OEM bag/rack install on a Griso with a termi pipe and they just had to add a small bracket/spacer to get the left bag on the racks.

Quote from the email I received from Dave when we were talking about it.
Also, just today we put the Termi on a Griso with saddlebags, and indeed there is a slight interference. But all it took was a little extra bracket to make good clearance.
