Moto Guzzi Returns to Pro Italia - Glendale, CA – February 22, 2010

Pro Italia, one of the foremost sport bike destination dealers in the country and located in Glendale California, announced today that it has renewed its partnership with Moto Guzzi after an 8-year hiatus.
Paolo Timoni, Piaggio USA President/CEO, noted “Piaggio and Moto Guzzi are pleased to have Pro Italia, one of the great motorcycle shops in North America, partner with us in representing the Moto Guzzi motorcycle range in Los Angeles. Pro Italia was one of our charter dealers and they have returned to our fold convinced that the Moto Guzzi brand, supported by the great resources of the Piaggio Group, has renewed its focus on value, service, and innovation.”
Bill Nation, Dealer/Principal of Pro Italia noted that “Moto Guzzi have a vibrant following and a reputation for value, reliability and low running costs, three things very important in this economy. To top it off, designers Miguel Galluzzi and Pierre Terblanche are now delivering new interpretations of classic Moto Guzzi models while concurrently breaking new ground with bikes like the Griso 1200 8v and Stelvio 1200. As always, Moto Guzzi motorcycles reflect the genuine character of Italy and with the renewed interest in less complex motorcycles, the time for Guzzi to partner with Pro Italia is perfect.” Nation added, “They’re cool too, just say ‘Guzzi’, and try not to smile.”
Pro Italia will initially be showing the V7 Classic, the V7 Cafe Classic, the Griso, and California Vintage. On Thursday, March 4, Pro Italia will hold a cocktail party and bike showing to welcome back Moto Guzzi. The event will take place at Pro Italia from 6:30pm to 9pm and will feature both current and vintage Moto Guzzi. All day Saturday March 6th we invite owners to ride their Guzzi to the shop for mini Guzzi love festival. Refreshments and a prize drawing are on the agenda.
Mark your calendars and check the Pro Italia website, the Pro Italia Facebook page (become a fan through our website), stop by the shop, or contact Pro Italia at 818.249.5707 for further information.
With the announcement that Pro Italia will now be carrying Moto Guzzi in addition to other great Italian brands, it seems that Italian motorcycles, great riding roads, extraordinary customer service and Pro Italia continue to go hand-in-hand.

I'm pleased to see this now is official. I figure to be there -- on my Norge. (My "other bike," an 06 Multistrada, was purchased from PI.)

It was great seeing a bunch of folks I had not met as well as some old friends. What a strange experience seeing Guzzis and Aprilias on the showroom floor along with Ducattis and MVs and not a scooter anywhere around.

Good seeing everyone and picking up another Guzzi T-shirt (free for those who rode a Guzzi to the shop and asked). See y'all at the RS on Sunday if it's not raining.
