Anybody using anything out there? I was thinking more of a tail bag that would mount on the passenger seat, rather than getting the luggage rack...

Hello;

I have the Factory Griso tail bag and rear rack. It works well... Looks good. I haven't seen a tail bag that is designed to fit where the passenger seat is.

I use a small Touratech Enduro 2 bag on the back of the seat. It fits well 'coz it tapers almost exactly the same as the seat. I had to modify the straps but that was easy. It does expand but is really only big enough for a day's bare essentials not full-on touring. It worked a lot better on my old 1100 2v than the 8v 'coz the 1100 has a flatter seat.

The Griso tail bag can be used as a seat bag.

The 2 tie down points that you would normally secure the bag to the rack can be secured to the seat strap.

I used the shoulder strap and looped it over the blinker stalk, under the fender, and up over the other blinker stak and then adjust it tight :ugeek: . It worked great and didn't come loose :p . It's big enough to carry my wet weather gear and a jumper and my smokes :whistle: . I'll put a picture up tonight.

this is the cheapest option

Joe Bar,
Could you show how your bag mounts fron & rear to the Griso? I really the way it looks.
thanks
Doug

For a tank bag I got a real cheapy off eBay it's a 'Nelson Rig' who I've otherwise never heard of; it was around £20/£30 buy it now. Originally bought when I found the old magnetic bag was sliding around alarmingly on the Speed Triple. Its a fair size and zips out to expand by another few inches.

Not sure how others have been fixing the strap at the back of the tank on the Griso. Initially I was sticking it under the battery clamp and then bolting it back down. I have since drilled out and slotted the clip in the seat nose and it threads through that. Up front I just put it around the headstock.
