Exhaust gasket

I bought a mistral exhaust the other day and made a quick attempt to get it installed. When I removed the stock exhaust the gasket stayed inside the stock exhaust pipe rather than on the bike. I made an attempt to take it out but the metal seems really soft and I got scared of damaging it. Is there any magic involved in getting those out and installing them? Or should I just buy a new one?

They are a kingerlite composite and a pain to remove. You'll be very locky to get it out without damaging it irreparably. I'd just buy a new one. Be sitting down when you order though, they aren't cheap! $53 over here!!!!!

Turns out the exhaust gasket wasn't what was needed. The reason I thought it was needed was obviously because it was there on the stock but also once I put the mistral on the clamp was too loose. So I thought it needed something to expand it. Turns out the mistral comes with a smaller clamp that was in the box, I just missed it. Sounds wonderful now.
