Right side hand guard rattles badly. Anyone else with this issue & a suggested fix?

I had the same problem and the source of the rattle was the hand guard vibrating on the brake fluid reservoir. I fixed it by Krazy gluing a piece of rubber (about 1"x 1/2" x 1/8") on the hand guard towards the back of the reservoir. That little piece of rubber made the hand guard fit snugly against the reservoir.

It's driving me nuts. I'll give your fix a try (tho really shouldn't have to!) Thanks.

On mine it was the mirrors starting to self destruct. It is a fairly easy area to dampen various bits with your hand while listening for the sound/vibration to be eliminated/lessened. Drove me batty (more batty  ) when it first started as it was so subtle.

Good luck.

I have the Stelvio hand guards on my Norge. I put them on in OH while doing my around the US trip earlier this month. First day riding with them I clearly heard the right hand one rattling like crazy. At my first stop during the test ride, within 15 seconds I found a cigarette butt on the ground, (not to hard to find them everywhere nowadays), shoved it in between the brake fluid reservoir and the top of the hand guard. Problem solved, totally quiet. I meant to replace the butt with a piece of stiff foam when I got home from the trip but until I read this topic I forgot all about the cigarette butt fix. I'll fix it this weekend. Thanks.

A well fitting pair of earplugs solves all problems :D

Shooting too much w/o hearing protection has almost done that to me!

Why not just loosen the nut and the bolt that attach the handguard and reposition it so it clears the brake reservoir/clutch reservoir. Worked on mine.

I'll let my dealer do it during some other warranty work. Thanks.

mine rattled like a mongrel too. I found out that the handgaurd was slightly twisted. Loosen the bolts to the front brake resevoir and rotate slightly. You will instantly see the effect it has on the gap between the hand gaurd and the resevoir.
It fixed mine instantly.
My mirror also rattled so I drilled out the drain hole to accept a caulking gun nozzle and then filled it up with sikaflex polyeurathane sealant. It worked a treat.
Cheers
