Broke my airbox

So today warmed up above the deep freeze we've had for the last few months. I decided it was a good day to work on the 'ol Guzzi ('06 Breva 1100). I picked up Todd's Stepper Motor bypass kit last fall and figured it was about time to get it installed. I pulled the tank and took a look at the airbox. Didn't look too hard, in fact it came out fairly easy. It was a little dirty so I started cleaning it. Flipped it over and I found the the nipple that the drain hose connects to was broken all most all the way off. Checked Ebay and didn't see one listed, lots of other pieces from some parted out Breva's but no airbox.

Any ideas? A couple of the things I was thinking about was some plastic epoxy or possibly something hollow I could bolt through the hole to hook the hose to.

Now if I could just find the damn bypass kit! Stuck it somewhere and can't find the stupid thing....

Measure the diameter of the drain pipe then drill out the hole in the airbox slightly smaller (0.5mm will do).
Then push the drain pipe into the hole securing with a drop of super glue. job done.
I certainly wouldn't be buying a new airbox.

I agree, although I would most probably use silicon to "glue" the hose back in.
The world would collapse in on itself if it was not for silicon and Lanolin spray/oil (and no I am not a kiwi)

Yes, I've done that too.
I found a short length of metal tube which just pushed into the original. Hold the broken bit square with the the airbox as you do it, and press the tube in until you just see it on the inside of the airbox. Job done, no messy glue either. It's been there for 18 months now, and not leaked a drop in that time.
Probably a lot stronger than the original.
