Finally getting around to setting the sag on my Griso this week. Does anyone know the the C spanner size for the rear shock?
Many thanks

Stu.

Thanks for that! I'm aware I can get a universal double ended spanner which normally has the two most common sizes on. But that's not what I want their a pain in the arris to use and take up to much room in my tool roll. Anyone know the actual size of the spanner needed so I can order the correct one?

Cheers

Stu

Gday.I made my own. The outside dimeter of the spanner is100 mm.The inside diameter is 76mm. The tabs that engage with the cutouts on the nuts have a radius of 34mm and are 8 mm wide. Hopefully that is pretty clear,if not I could email you a copy of my drawing.

Thanks for the info guys, I can now get the right size ordered.
Much appreciated

Stu.

When I adjusted mine, I raised the rear tire off the ground.
Made it much easier to turn with pressure off of the spring. I was able to use my kung-fu grip to adjust it.

Wise words sensei
Think i will need more than a steely stare and a little meditation to compress the spring though

Couple of questions:
  1. Will that 68-75 work on the G11?
  2. What about the ol' hammer and screw driver?
Thanks!
Please go for option 1...
Option 2
You will damage the alu rings.
My god... hammer and screw driver... we're out of the 40th's... we are not in a war zone...

I think this reaction is what you was searching for?
Be a mechanic, invest in your tools and do it the proper way.
I invested surely about €14,- ($ 20,-) for this peace of equipment. B)

For those in OZ
If you are having trouble locating the correct C Spanner (Hook Wrench) mentioned earlier in this thread to do the job.
I recently purchased the correct BETA Tools item from the local distributor UNIPAC Equipment (Aust).
The tool is part no. 000990068 Hook Wrench 68 - 75 - cost $32.64.
UNIPAC can be located at Unit 23 / 28 Barcoo St. Roseville in Sydney - phone 1300 14 15 16.
and yes it works perfectly.
