I saw an ad on somewhere, I believe here, saying that Dyna was working on a Power Commander for the Norge. Any word on if it is available and how it works? When I get in the mountains on a warm day this thin pings very noticibly and I would like to be able to tune it out. I have seen some units on eBay for $50 but I never heard of them and they seem to have faded away which is a bad sign.

Dynojet owns Dyna, often confused. The new Power Commander 5 (PC-V) is currently in development for all '09+ bikes. Upside for all Guzzisti, is this will retro back to '06 Breva 1100s. No word yet on delivery date, but "early next year" is what I am being told.

Anything currently being offered for fuel adjustment on the newer Guzzis, is black magic/snake oil. The Rapidbike module is only partially function-able and offers zero support, and anything that cost <$50 is a scam.

Ah yes... cost? Only issue there is for *user* adjustability with different mods, say a GT-Rx pipe and modified airbox lid.

The cost was 380 euro, but I had to leave my original ecu for this swap to a modifyed ecu.
+ the cost of traveling with the bike to the Millepercento outside Milan.
The EVO2, is made for my mods, Mistral pipe + K&N-airfilter.
Todd, what do you think about the tech behinde this? why is a PCV better and cheaper?

380.00 EUR = 481.88 USD currently. It depends on what technology is used to program the ECU, but knowing Mille Percento, it likely is good. Do you have any info on how it is done? I will try to find out about it from my friend Claudio (of LongWalk.it), who worked there this Summer.

I have no pricing on the PCV yet, but I don't suspect much of an increase from the current PCIIIusb. The PC is user adjustable and a map can be written on *each* bike, on the dyno via Tuning Link, or for an additional $249 USD it looks like an adaptive "Auto Tune" module can be added to build your own map, on-the-fly, at any time. I will post more as I have it.

Now I know what it must be like to read one of my comments on, e.g., tires. :S

Uhm ... alfaguzzi, could you please elaborate on what "works great on my 1200 Norge" means? Have no doubt it does, but curious about details from your seat-on-saddle perspective.

Thanks.

Erm, I think you're missing something, Bill ... that one reads about 10x faster than one of your comments! :p

But you're right. What does "work great" mean? My stock ECU also "works great", so I can keep those euros in my pocket? ;)

from my seat-on-saddle perspective, "great" means at least 10 more horsepower, less popping/banging, more fueleconomi.
(I also have Mistralpipes+ KN-filter). I dont know what they have donen on the replaced ecu, but it is an improvment.
