I am looking for a local shop to rewind an alternator rotor from an 850 T3. I am in Nevada City, C, NE of Sacramento. Anyone know of such a shop?

Michael

I had mine rewound by RiteWay electric, in San Francisco; they sent it to someone in Arizona. It cost almost as much as a new one from Harper's. It would have be a lot less hassle if I had ordered from them.

While I was waiting to get my rotor back I was driving around without an alternator by charging my Odyssey Battery every evening. The PC925 did fine for 60 miles of use with the headlight off.

Only 60 miles? On your T3? Geez, my T3 (with headlight off of course, & this with Dyna ign) was good for 200 (mostly freeway) miles with a dead rotor & the same old style Interstate open cell lead acid batteries I have been using for decades.

Bob, Sounds like a challenge. I throw down the gauntlet.

I'll meet you in Lee Vining CA, Saturday Aug 26 5:00am, start the race 6:00am sharp with our alternators disconnected, we'll drive east till the first driver runs out of juice! No LED bulbs allowed.

Get back? We walk! I'll bring my solar battery charger, the looser get to use it! I (the winner) will have enough juice to start the engine after I hook up the alternator.
