Stelvio owners in the north of england

Long distance weather forecast looks good, anyone taking a pillion with them?

Ian

Bugger, I'm out. I sold my XS850 on ebay yesterday (item no - 290568571383) and the buyer is coming up on the train from Bolton on Sunday, scuppering my day out. Next time...

Bry. Sorry to hear you can't make it. Lets get a date in late June early July in the diaries.

In the meantime can folks who can make it reply to confirm? Thanks
Craig

Planning to be there, got the blowing fuse problem (as threads on here) yesterday, so have to fix that on Saturday.
May go foa new rear tyre as well. So, a good ride to Hawes to scrub it in will be in order and the weather looks promising.

So state of play looks like:
me
Campagman if fuse problem sorted on saturday - what is the probability?
Big E - of not too hungover.

Thats me a cert and two maybe's!!!! If it looks this shaky maybe better to reschedule the whole thng when Bry can also make it? Not keen to go all way to Hawes for a "no show"!

Sorry chaps i won't be there I've now got to work Saturday night so will be knocking out the Z's whilst you are playing.

Maybe next time

Craig,
happy to reschedule, would be better with more of us there.
Should be possible to get 5 or 6 of us

I've not looked at the bike yet, confident it will run with a little tinkering though.

Campagman (Jonathon). I'm still going tomorrow. Had two other guys from Manchester text me from this thread. I will text their tel no to you as you guys are all near each other. Hope to see you tomorrow.

Everyone else. Dates for another get together at Hawes. I can make either of the next two sunday's. 12 ans 19 June. Let me know if you can make it and we can hopefully get a near full complement of Guzzi Stelvios blasting through the Dales.

Cheers
Craig

Good to meet you Craig, first Stelvio owner I've met, other than via the net.

Shame about the rain, but my route back eased and dried up a bit, so got some better use of the new tyre (much better than the old squred off one). Just about dried out by the time I got home and the temp was upto 15 deg, 7 in Hawes was a bit cold esp with the next to useless GUzzi 'alledgely heated' grips :D. bike felt good all the way, returned a good 45mpg. MAybe I'll shelve the p/x idea.

So, we need some more of us out next time, we were overwhelmed by GS's

I'm in for next time (no more old bikes to sell on ebay...), but the 19th is a no go as I'm going down to Birmingham on the bike that weekend.

New Meeting Date

OK. Stelvio Northern Owners meet number 2. I suggest the following dates Sunday 3rd July and 17th July meet on Hawes. All welcome. Let me know who can make it. With a little effort we can outnumber those GS bikes!!! Cheers Craig
