ME! I couldn't help myself. For a while I have been considering going down from four bikes to two, so having sold my old Norton Domminator and rekindling my love affair with my R100GS BMW I decided the Tiger 1050 will have to go. I haven't used it much over the last two years as I nearly always used the Stelvio.
Having gotten fed up trying to sell the Tiger privately I decided to swap my Stelvio and the Tiger for a new NTX, I initially thought about the 'cooking' version, but the alloy wheels just didn't do it for me, I think the laced spoked wheels look so much nicer; but hey beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
I got a good deal from the shop and I've even got the Guzzi alloy panniers and Quill exhaust to flog. The bike is due on or about 5th August. I didn't contemplate another type of bike, there's nothing out there that interests me other than a Harley Road King, but I didn't want to spend any extra cash, so I thought i'd stick with a Stelvio, in a way I think I may have been seduced by the 32 litre fuel tank although I'm sure I'l never use it to it's full advantage, and the front end of the bike now looks more attractive. The Stelvio is such a perfect ride for me, it's one of the best bikes I've ever owned or ridden in 37 years of motorcycling. :)

Hope the bike arrives on time.
Considering that at the European sales conference this year in Monaco, Guzzi said they were intending to challenge BMW in that market with the new Stelvio, Corsa Italiana have managed to get ONE bike so far, and have been told that they will not get any more until mid September. Good marketing?

You'll gonna enjoy it. I have my White 2011 for weeks now and love it.

Regards from the old World.

I'm still awaiting delivery. The shop told me they were expecting it week commencing Monday 15th August, so I hope to have it before next weekend.

I ordered mine first week of June for delivery (promissed and withoult fault) 3th week of July. Still waiting.
Received the info that the bike is ready to leave this week from MG Italy to be in Belgium at my dearler week of 22 August.Hope and see - but with this kind of missed promisses they won't gain market .(Marc/Belgium)

Still no sign of my NTX. :( I'm off to Brusells for a few days tomorrow, back Sunday evening, then off on wednesday to the USA for three weeks motorcycle tour :) (on a harley electraglide). Hopefully when I get back at end of September the Guzzi will be waiting for me. I'm a bit pi**ed off that it's not come yet  , it was ordered on 21st July, so I've missed a lot of the summer on it :( . Hopefully will get a trip around northern Scotlandshire in October to run it in, but I'll probably lay it up in December until next March and use my old GS BMW for winter.

What made me and the shop optimistic was that a new NTX arrived nearly three weeks ago; that had been ordered the week before I ordered mine. C'est la vie :(

Mine finally arrived at the dealer who is now preparing the bike - I'll colloect it this Saturday. It was ready to leave Mandello on week 31 , but due to the holiday period in Italy (nothing moves) I lost 4 weeks. I hope to get some good weather in September : planed one week in Vercors (France) and one week in the Alpes (CH/It/France).Marc (Belgium)
