Advice before buying a Stelvio

Hello all,
I am a long time Harley rider looking for a change of pace. I am going to test ride a 2009 Stelvio with 30,000 miles and wanted some recomendations of things to look for specific to this bike.
I have done quite a bit of research and plan to check the CARC seals and oil, and seen some postings about clutch noise (isn't that expected from a dry clutch). Also, I have seen references to a recall (cams issues I think), so will run the VIN to verify if it has been performed. I've read pages about the unique sound of this engine so should I listen for anything specific? Also, do error codes show automatically, or do I have to run diagnostics manually?
Tires, breaks, lights will be checked. Am I missing anything?
I know I'm asking a lot of questions, but want to make sure this is an informed purchase. Thanks in advance and ANY advice is appreciated.

John,
I am seeing some new 2009'10 and 11's for sale at really good prices, just an FYI. I am new to Guzzi, picking up a new NTX tomorrow, keeping my HD though. If you are not getting a really great price, check The web for new leftovers. Good luck!

Chuck

sounds like you've been doing your due diligence digging up info on the early ones - and have an idea of what to look for.

fair number of people trading their early ones in on the new NTX, so good prices should be relatively easy to find.

Did you ride it? How much was he asking for it?
I am eager to see what the 09's being traded and sold to get a 2012 will bring on an open market. I might sell mine to get a 2012. :S
