were i live if u want a griso you have to order it. ive never seen or sat on one in person. im worried about seat height i have 31" inseam do you think i can flat foot it and if not is there a way to lower it?

Will be close. I have a 30" inseam (on a good day) and I can not flat foot with both feet on mine.

I have about a 29" inseam(that's probably being generous). I can't flatfoot my Griso but I can at least reach the ground with both feet, something I could not do on my Ducati GT1000. With my left foot on the ground and my right on the rear brake the bike is almost straight up, you can check http://cycle-ergo.com/ there probably aren't too many non cruisers that will work better for those of us that are inseam challenged. Incidentally, I bought my Griso last year never having sat on one and I could not be happier with it.

I'm 5'10" with 31" inside leg and never had a problem flat footing my Griso. Never felt tall and never actually gave seat height a second thought.

There are numerous -- well, OK, by Guzzi standards  -- within a couple hours of you, probably closer.

Should be no problem finding one.

Look around here (guzzitech) for members near you. Fly out to Milan (Ill.) and take a spin on mine.

OBTW, I am a 31 inseam and reach is a no- issue.

Good luck.

Bill

It is already low. If you have at least a 30" inseam you should be able to flat foot it. I only have a 30" inseam and can flat foot mine.
There are always ways to lower a bike, it is just a matter of how much money. Every thing from custom suspension to a shaved seat. But maintaining the handling when lowering the suspension can be problematic and they already only barely have enough ground clearance and obviously if you lower it you will have even less. A shaved seat would be a better place to start if seat height was an issue.
I would sit on one, or better yet ride one, then decide if it is the bike for you. There are many questions along those lines, and with a 31" inseam I don't think seat height will be one of them

I have a 28 inch inseam but when trying the Griso i could just touch the ground with my toes. The big problem was trying to reach the side stand also it depends how heavy you are  . The seats height is not the problem it is the seats width.

with my Bellagio with the longer rear suspension (comes in 2 lengths with 2 inch difference) i can only just touch the ground. However this is the way it has always been and short riders just learn how to ride, or more importantly stop, without falling off! (yep fell off my speed triple 3 times at standstill, too embarrassing, but still got it).
