Hello everybody!
I am from Trois-Rivieres (in Quebec). I just got my new 2011 left over black beauty Norge GT 8V last friday from Pulsion Suzuki in Drummondville. I had a great service (and deal) from that dealer.
The Norge was brand new with only 1/4 mile on it.
Unfortunately, it rained hard all the weekend in the area... :-( I only managed to put 200 KM (about 160 miles) on it this weekend. I am clearly looking forward for clear blue sky!

A major improvement in quality ride, smile factor and happiness from my former bike - BMW K1200 RS.

I will be everywhere with that piece of beauty for my vacations this summer: Deal's Gap, Cap Breton, Cap Code, Georgian Bay etc etc.

Bye.

Eric,

When you go to Deals Gap, time it for the middle of a week. Too many crazy folks about on the weekends. I hate it when an oncoming rider uses most of my lane.

Hi Eric, and welcome to the Guzzi familia! When are you hoping to be in the Georgian Bay area? I am in London, not all that far away from there.

Cheers,

Bruce

Hi Eric, congrats and welcome to the Famiglia and here to GT.

You're in for a great ride (albeit a Guzzi addiction), enjoy it!

Cape Bretton, NS? I did that ride back in early '00. have you been there before? Happy to help there.
As John states, Deal's Gap is a bit over-processed these days, Skyline/Blue Ridge and all of the parallel and feeder roads are equally impressive.

When you're ready to unleash your Norge in the fueling and suspension department, I'd be happy to discuss here or direct e-mail; Todd at GuzziTech.com

Post often, and snap some pics!

Salut Eric,

I'm in Mascouche, and I saw a black Norge either on 40 or 640 riding with a black Breva or Sport beginnning of July, I was telling myself somebody finally picked up a great bike and a good deal. I own a 2007 Norge (slow silver one) and am very happy, used everyday and everywhere...

Hi Eric,

I'm in Hudson .... not too far from Montréal.
Congratulation on the Norge and welcome to the family.

Enjoy the bike. I do. Just back form a 14,500km ride to California. 2-up.

Hello,
thanks to all with your welcome words and hints.

First, let me tell you all how glad I am to deal with my Guzzi dealer, Pulsion in Drommondville. They are just great and do everything possible to satisfy the customer.

I realy LOVE my Norge. I am currently looking to ceramic coat the headers and the canister since the chrome finish gets an ugly brownish look (the headers at least). Do you know if there is any downside by doing a ceramic coating?

Also is there any benefit (or downside) to enrich the gas mixture?

Thanks!

Hey Eric, all of these Guzzis seem to run pretty lean as delivered. A richer mixture will tend to make the bike run more smoothly at lower RPM. I added an .02 optimizer from GuzziTech to my Stelvio and it really improved the low-end performance. The optimizer is no longer available as a stand-alone unit, but comes as part of Todd's re-mapping package for the 8V engine.

Cheers,

Bruce

Hello Bruce,

Tell me, after that modification did you notice a higher fuel consomption?

Hi Eric. Yes, I think the fuel mileage suffers a bit, but the trade-off in engine smoothness and generally improved performance is well worth it.
