Anyone here know where to go to look for the V-belt pulleys used on the front of the newer engines? This is for my blower project bike. These are keyed pulleys with 4-teeth. Looking for a place I can research sizes and ways to purchase. Post below or direct e-mail' Todd at GuzziTech.com

TIA.

Are you asking about an actual v-belt or do you mean a toothed flat belt as used on blowers?Gates make toothed belts. I have their catalog in my shop with all the info your probably looking for but that won't help you, they must have all the same info online.
Bob

Okay I take my info back, the Gates site sucks. I have a very comprhensive gates catalog with formulas for pulley sizes belt lengths load/torque spec's etc. I could find no such info on their web site. Sorry for the lousy info.
Bob

Thanks Bob, the belts are easy, it's the pulleys I'm after.

Thats just it, the catalog I have has all that info in it. We used it to figure out pulley and belt specs along with a gear reduction drive unit to adapt our large engine lathe with an extendable bed from a unsafe cable system to a safe screw system. So why this info isn't on their site escapes me, unless I just couldn't find it.

Todd, our local bearing factor stocks all sorts of pulleys and belts. If you can give me some idea of ID/OD and belt width I can easily make some enquiries.
Thanks Pete.

I'll get with you direct on the diameters. For belt width, it's the same pulleys as the stock new high-alt motors; .5"/12.7mm.
