Clutch adjust

I have a 2010 Griso. It seems to me the clutch needs adjusting, but how do you adjust a hydraulic clutch? The reason I think it need adjustment are:

- when hot, it's impossible to get the bike into neutral at stop. It wasn't like this when I got it
- there is absolutely no lag between letting the clutch lever out and engagement. When new, there was a few degrees of clutch play before engagement
- with the clutch pulled in at stop in first gear, if I take my feet off the ground, the bike tries to move forward

You may need to just bleed and flush the hydraulic clutch line. It's possible your fluid in the line is contaminated or low, or both. If it's low, some air may have gotten into the line.
You should also check the bleeder valve (under the seat at the left) to make sure it's tight, and not leaking, even slightly.
Generally whenever I've had a problem, refreshing the fluid fixed it.

Remove the clutch lever from the master cylinder and you will see that the activating plunger that presses on the piston of the master cylinder is threaded into a small 'Barrel' in the lever itself. The plunger is supposed to be locked in position by a tiny grub screw with a 1 or 1.5mm Allen drive in it. Unfortunately it seems that the bloke at the Brembo factory sometimes forgets to do up the locking screw and this allows the plunger to screw itself in and out of the 'Barrel' at will. If it backs out you loose clutch function as you have. If it screws in it can pre-load the master cylinder piston and you'll get clutch slip.

In the outer end of the plunger there is a screwdriver slot for a small flat bladed screwdriver. With the lever back on the master cylinder you can use a screwdriver to adjust the plunger until it has just a tiny amount of free play in the lever before the plunger contacts the piston. Once this is set correctly you can nip up the locking grub screw with the correct sized Allen key so that the problem doesn't recurr. If the grub screw has fallen out it isn't available from Guzzi as a separate part but it is a standard, albeit very small, metric thread. Take the lever to a specialist fastener supplier and they should be able to supply you with an effective replacement. The alternative is a complete new lever which is silly if it's only missing a grub screw!

Advice please! I just installed a new Hydraulic Clutch on my 2007 Griso. I want to know if there is a screw adjustment (piston) in to the master cylinder ? It came with a dab of silicone that covers the screw? My old one was turned out several turns and the new one from factory is in pretty far? Do I need to turn the screw out a few turns to engage the clutch a bit sooner?
I did a reverse clutch fluid bleed already with no air in the system. Took it for a spin and it seems to engage at the end. Advice please?
