The bar ends on the V7R are 31mm in diameter. I'm looking at getting these mirrors for mine:

The description says they'll fit a bar (or bar end) 22-30mm in diameter (they come with adapters for smaller diameters). I'm thinking they'll work. I really don't want to get into replacing the bar ends and dealing with the threaded insert in the end of the clip-ons. Anyone know for sure if they will work?

let me see if i can tackle this one.....we know one thing, and that is, that the V7 bar ends have threaded inserts, at least the V7 Classic ones do. hence, any bar end mirror adapter will not fit inside the bar end itself (obviously). that leaves you with either using only the adaptive piece like i did (CRG Lane Splitters, i had to CUT some of the soft alum off of the adapter itself) and sandwiching it in between the bar and the bar end (looks best like this) or doing away with the stock weighted bar end and screwing the mirror/adapter into the handlebar end which would probably look less clean.

not sure if that makes sense or not, but i don't think most mirror bar end adapters will work without some doing.

I am using Rizoma retro on my racer, the orginal bar end wont work. go get one of the Rizoma bar end (I am using MA502) and the orginal screw fit the Rizoma bar end without problem. no adapter needed.

Awesome. Thank you!!

Pic attached, the "Retro" use the same arm as the one you are looking at, so the RA502 bar end should fit

Being able to use the existing threaded insert is huge. I've put these mirrors on other bikes and had to remove that insert and then use the expanding bits that come with the Rizoma bar ends. They never really work very well. Thanks again for the input.
