Hello, I just brought home a 2012 NTX Friday. Unfortunately after 2 days riding it, now my headlights will not come on. Every other light works fine, except for the headlights and foglights. I tried checking relays and fuses but nothing appears to be loose. Does anyone have any ideas what I could do to remedy the problem?

I would definitely be nice to figure it out without a trip to the dealer.

There are schematics in the Tech tab. A relay may have failed and not be loose. Since it is so new, I'd recommend a trip to your dealer.

Headlights and aux lights are on the same fuse - you have to remove the RH side panel to see the little fuse block it is in - 30A, as it is below and behind the main block beside the battery

Other then that I got nothing

Why knock yourself out? Let the dealer handle it.

Agreed! If I had a bike that lost its lights after a mere two days of ownership, I would be waiting at my dealer's door before they opened up in the morning to get it properly sorted.

Well, after swapping the fuse and double-checking the relays, a short test ride still left me without headlights. So The first day the I could get to the dealer after their weekend and my work schedule I was off. About 5 miles into my trip, I noticed the headlights reflecting in the back of the car in front of me. So I flipped the aux lights and the dash indicator came on and the lights reflected in the car also. I am now hoping that the little gremlin fell off in the five miles and is gone for good, but my dealer did log my complaint. Needless to say I am extremely happy with the Stelvio.

This would make me nervous. It appears a connection has restored itself, it is just as likely to fail again. You would have been better of if they stayed not working until you found the actual cause and could do a correct repair. Faith won't fix it permanently.

At my last service I was surprised to find another set of fuses directly behind the headlight and looking down thru the front of the tank. They are covered by a rubber cap that easily pops off. Just another place to check.

Yep, hence the test ride. I wanted to make sure they were not needing wheels revolutions also. Like the ABS. So far the lights are still firing.

The gremlins got me again the other day while riding around Mt. Rainier. My buddy was behind me and when we stopped he asked me to hit the brakes again, because three LEDs were not lighting in the brake cluster. It must have started somewhere about halfway through the ride, and continued through the day. When I got home I checked it again and they were still out. Two days later I went to check and when I hit the lever the whole custer illuminated. I am keeping my dealer up to date with the uh ohs, but I am really hoping that the parts are just breaking-in and after the first service they don't crop up again.
