Have just put a set of Knight Design pegs on my 8v and they have made the ride a lot better for my old knees. I want to lower the brake pedal but cant find any info in the manual. Are they adjustable? Has anyone put a longer peg on the brake pedal

I also added the KD 1" lowering Footpegs to my Griso, to accomodate my aging knees. I really like them, but as many have commented, it leaves the stock (and mostly unadjustable) brake pedal uncomfortably high. Funny, the shift side doesn't seem to be a problem. Below are pics of my solution. I can provide more details if anyone is interested.

I'm really happy with how the whole thing turned out, It let's my foot hover comfortably just above the pedal. The extra size makes it easy to find. Most people don't notice, or can't tell that it's not 'factory'.

Parts List
6061 Aluminum Flat Bar - 3/16"Thick X 1"Wide X 2.5"Long (ebay seller '6061dude')
1 - M12X25 Button Head Socket Cap SS (mrmetric.com)
1 - M12X1.75 Jam Nut SS (1/2 the thickness of regular nuts) (mrmetric.com)
1 - M12 Internal Lock Washer SS (ACE Hardware)
1 - M8X20 Hex Head SS (replaces screw supplied w/ 'footpeg') (ACE Hardware)
1- M8 Internal Lock Washer SS (ACE Hardware)
1 - LighTech Rear Set Replacement Folding Footpeg $59.95 (oppracing.com)

I fashioned the drop link from aluminum bar. 2.5" long, 1.5" hole centers.
I used a 1" dia washer and ultra fine Sharpie to outline the round ends and mark the hole centers. I used a drillpress to drill one 12mm (1/2") hole and one 8mm (3/8") hole.
Rough cut with a grinder and finished on my disc sander.
The 1.5" hole centers was a guess, but seemed about right to make up the 1" drop, along with my preferred setting of the stock pedal at the bottom of its excentric.
I could have sourced all the nuts/bolts from ACE Hardware but they didn't have the 12mm Button Head in Stainless Steel, only in black oxide or std steel. I tried using a std hex head 12mm, but it looked huge, and I felt like my shoe could get hung up on it, and that wasn't a problem with the rounded Button Head. I liked the idea of the thinner 'jam nut' to keep things small and tidy, and, it fit exactly to the end of the M12x25 when all was assembled.
I notched the 12mm bolt with a Dremel to accomodate the pinch bolt. The pinch bolt is probably not needed, but I didn't want to leave the empty hole in the lever.
Use Blue Locktite everywhere.
Total cost around $80.00, most of which was the LighTech footpeg (pedal). You might find cheaper options for the pedal, but I really liked the size (much larger than the stock MG pedal), and I set it to fold up at the same angle as the KD footpeg. The LighTech is a solid built unit. oppracing.com also had a similar non-folding unit for half the price.

No, I'm not a machinist. Just like to tinker.

knight design toe pegs for brakes and shifter

I have just found on ebay usa new toe peg for brakes and shifter for the griso. They are made by knight design and come in the same colours as there lower foot pegs. The are 2 1/2 inches long and have a 1 inch extension. Problem solved. $29 us.

Just ordered a set from their web site. On the website, you can get other colors in addition to the natural aluminum - but the anodized colors are more expensive.

I am in development with a similar design, but as well executed as the pegs I too offer. Nice job.

Thanks for that Todd. I will wait for your product. Any idea when you might have it for sale
