I have a 2012 NTX and would like to order a diagnostic tool for my own use. I've heard a rumor that the new Guzzi's require a different tool put out by Piaggio called the PADS. Has anyone heard of this? Will the Centurion-S or TR VDST-Diagnostics tool work for me or do I need something different? At minimum, I want to be able to reset the TPS after valve adjustments and TB balancing. I also need a TB balancer and would like opinions on the best one.

Thanks!

To my knowledge, the Stelvio is still using the 5 AM ECU, either Centurion S or VDSTS will do just fine.

John is correct, all Stelvio, '09-current uses the 5AM ECU, so the Centurion-S will work perfectly. Splitting hairs, the new ECU is named 5AM2, which I suspect because of the dual 02-sensors, but I've used/connected with Centurion with no issues.

arn't you supposed to set the TPS before setting valves and syncing the TB's?

The manuals say so, but from experience it is just an extra step that really isn't needed as you have to reset the TPS after you do the sync. I've tried it both ways and now just do the reset after the sync. Why reset the TPS (presuming it was running OK) before you do the sync since you need to do it again after?
