Daer all,

I bought recently a Griso 1100 and the first time I've ride it at the highway I understood immediatly I need one of those headlight fairings...
The original one from Guzzi looks nice but I don't know if it is efficient...
Could you please give me some feed-back about this?

Thanks,
Luis

I have the small Guzzi fly screen on my Griso. It is useful for keeping the bug guts off the gauge cluster, and it looks great. I have no issues with it at any speed the Griso is capable of.
I assume that is not what you are looking for.....

Luis,
First congrats on the Griso - you will love the bike!
You have a few choices: a Guzzi screen - either med. screen or fly screen, or go with various after market possibilities.
The bigger the fairing, the better the protection, but the worse the aesthetics. There are a number of "universal" screens that give good protection at speed that do not ruin the looks of the Griso. A decent number of us have Givi A770's on our Griso's - this screen comes close to looking like it was designed specifically for the bike, and provides good protection but unfortunately, was discontinued by Givi. They have other models that might serve your purpose.
Put "wind screen" into the search function on the Griso/Bella section and you will get lots of threads (with pictures) to look through that detail most of the common options.

Unfortunately Givi is no longer making the A770. I have been trying to find one for the last 6 months with no joy.

I think the big sreens spoil the looks of the bike....
I'm tempted to try the little fly screen from Guzzi...
Those of you who have them have really noticed an improvement regarding the wind pressure?
For sure I would need to lean forward to take profit of any protection from that small screen, but If that would be the price to pay...

I've never ridden my Griso SE without the small flyscreen, so I can't discuss whether there is any improvement in riding comfort. It's probably less than one sq foot in area, so it probably doesn't do much. Cosmetically, I like it, since it seems to blend in well with the Griso's minimalistic body work. And it certainly meets its description ... 'flyscreen.' Does a great job of keeping bugs off of the instrument cluster.

I rode my griso for a year and a half naked. I then put on the fly screen. It doesn't do very much at low speed but at high speeds it does cut wind and make the bike more stable. high speeds meaning over 80MPH. I could cruise at 85-90 with the fly and not get as beat up . Obviously 85 is above what some might find useful but I had a route where 85 was commonplace for even many cars.

If you want wind protection at 60 this screen won't give you what you expect. I had a Triumph Speed Tripe with a fly screen and it worked much like the guzzi screen, faster is more noticeable.

Bob - where did you get your flyscreen? My local MG dealer doesn't seem to even know it exists?

Thanks,

Dave

I added a Dart flyscreen to mine. There wasn't on specifically for a Griso, so I ordered one to fit a Triumph Bonneville.
