Just sold my GS for an 08 stelvio... Really pleased with it so far...however just under the small plastic panel on the left side beneath the seat, there is a small round component with a red led which remains on, even with the ignition off..... There is a red and black wire that goes to the battery and a blue wire going to the sensor in the exhaust. Two purple wires go to a sensor , I think that is in the air box..... There is a sticker on the power Wires that says Moto Guzzi ntx 4v .....It's not factory fitted as the wires are wrapped in electrical tape... Just wondering what it is and has anyone else got one on there bikes.
Cheers guys. Glenn

Maybe an aftermarket fitted alarm.
You could try Moto Strada in Shipley, not far from you, unless you got it from them?

Likely something akin to a powercommander - aftermarket ignition/fi mapping

Thanks fellas for your suggestions..... I have, after much 'googling' found out what it is. it a TT NTX power chip... According to the blurb on eBay. 15% more power 15%more torque 6%. Fuel saving and 35% better throttle response . Apparently it fools the ecu into thinking the air is cooler than it really is and adds more fuel for better running....I've just put a switch between the power chip and the battery because if its switched off then you revert back to original mapping.... Apparently!!
Thanks for all your help

I could see it doing that... If I understand what I've picked up here, the ECU might need some time to adapt to the change. I just wouldn't expect it to instantly revert to the original mapping.

Curious minds want to know if it works. :)
