Price of the first service for a Griso?

What are you guys paying for your first service for your Griso? I was quoted $450 and it seemed a little high to me.

I do my own services, but it doesn't seem out of line if they do everything they should. Labor rate has a bit to do with the cost, and oils and gaskets aren't cheap. In fact, give them a little more to grease the swing arm bearings and shock linkage. That will save you down the road.

That's about what I was charged. But I insisted (and confirmed) that they do everything on the factory checklist. There are some dealers that want to simply change the oil and send you out the door. Mine tried to tell me valve adjustment wasn't included in the first service until I pointed it out in the owner's manual.

I woud certainly ask for a detailed list on what will be performed for that price, as stated above... far too often it's only an oil change/rip off. Be sure they check the TPS setting as well, and as John states above, if you're not one to dig into pre-emptive maintenance, it might be worth paying them to do a few extra things like the swing-arm bearings and other sensitive items outlined on this Forum.
Do you mind posting who the dealer is?
