I have been getting a warning light on the dash to do with the indicators. It does not happen all the time but is regular.

Seems to be the back left hand indicator. It stops working, then starts again. Probably a loose connection, but being a novice I dont know where to start. Anyone else had this problem?

It will be going to the dealer soon for a serivce, so if I cant sort it, I will leave it to them.

I never had that problem but I would start with checking the bulb. Make sure it's seated properly. The connector is under the tail section but it’s a little bit of a pain to reach. It is easier if you remove the air box cover.

Yup, mine did it after I'd installed bag racks, it was the connectors in the tail piece as mentioned above. Cleaning and repositioning them cured it and its never recurred.

Bellagio had same intermittent problem with left rear indicator.
It turned out to be an internal crack in plastic that kept the bulb positioned correctly.
When the right hand indicator developed an external crack, I replaced them with aftermarket LED's.

If you suffer with OCMD (Obsessive Compulsive Modification Disorder), be very careful as my fix cost me 5 grand - see avatar

There is a German Co that makes proper chromed alloy indicators that are very similar to stock.
They come with a choice of long or short stems, orange or clear lense, normal or LED.

I had a similar problem and it turned out to be the connector onto the dash where one of the pins was not seated correctly in the plug body - a slight bit of encouragement with a jeweller's screwdriver made it all go away. Now to fix the L/H blinker coming on when I give the hurry handle maximum encouragement... Gotta love Italian electrics!

I had this happen right after I installed a set of LED plate bolts and thought I had screwed something up. Nope, it fixed itself somehow and haven't seen it again.

yet.
