Yes, there were three types of tappet fitted. But as I said, if you have the earlier type, they are covered under warranty.

What about when the warranty expires after 2 years,or have Guzzi extended the cover for the tappets, and if so for how long?Brian UK said:Yes, there were three types of tappet fitted. But as I said, if you have the earlier type, they are covered under warranty.

No.have you been insideoneand looked at how it works? The oil cooler circuit on the 8V motors is not thermostatically controlled.

Yes. In the UK you will get more information on that on the UK MG club forum.stromcat said:What about when the warranty expires after 2 years,or have Guzzi extended the cover for the tappets, and if so for how long?
Stella said:FYI,
Another difference between the flat tappet and roller tappet motors is the screw adjusters, adjuster nuts and rocker arms, flat tappets are course thread adjusters and the newer roller tappets use a very fine thread adjuster with an Allen head on the top end of the adjuster, be sure to note the difference before ordering spares, I got the wrong nuts ,now I'm waiting for the correct ones !!
https://www.guzzitech.com/forums/th...-tappet-failure-but-were-afraid-to-ask.17282/Hi all - looking for a few pointers on this subject. I have a 2011 8v Norge which I bought June 2020 and it's been a bit 'clacky' on the RH pot since I bought it. I thought it probably just needed a bit of adjustment, and has been fine since buying it. Took it in for a service last week and the chaps were a bit alarmed re the noise. Perhaps it had got slightly worse over the year without me realising it. Then I found out about the flat tappet (possible) issue. It's done 42k. So - just needs a bit of tappet adjustment or more likely to be a roller-tappet replacement requirement?
